The charter for Utah Fast Pass is primarily to provide charitable contributions to: the UHP's Honoring Heroes Foundation, which benefits widows and orphans of fallen peace officers and officers injured in the line of duty; local law enforcement; local community projects that improve the communities in which we interact; improve the education opportunities for students throughout the State of Utah; and other charities, which will improve the quality of life in Utah. The intent of the 2012 Utah Fast Pass event is to showcase rare cars of limited production. We will be looking to pair old and new cars of a like marque, and preference will be given to unique and/or historical cars. Our goal is to create a cross-section of both cars and drivers from throughout the world. As such, the number of cars in each category, "Then" and "Now", will be limited. Entries will be evaluated by Utah Fast Pass and selected applicants will receive an invitation to participate in the event. Invitations will be based on achieving the diversity of the field as stated herein. The acceptance or rejection of entries will be at the sole discretion of Utah Fast Pass and will be limited. Those entry applications not accepted for this event will be kept on a waiting list for the 2012 event to potentially replace an invitee who cannot attend. We are sorry we will not be able to accept all interested parties but encourage you to apply. Safety will be of primary importance during this event; this is not a race. All cars will be required to pass a tech inspection the first day of the event. Cars that cannot meet the tech standards by the start of the event, at the sole discretion of Utah Fast Pass officials, will not be allowed to participate. The safety of the entrant's car throughout the tour will be the sole responsibility of the entrant and the Utah Fast Pass tech inspection is only advisory. As a minimum, all cars must be equipped with safety belts, suitable high speed tires with adequate tread, and be mechanically sound. All drivers will be held responsible to adhere to the rules for the event established by Utah Fast Pass and violators will be barred from participating in the event. Gala Dinner AuctionThe finishing touch of the 2011 tour of Utah ended with a "Then and Now" themed Gala at The Grand America Hotel. Thousands enjoyed all of the vehicles on display at the Concours de non-Elegance. The Gala hosted a live and silent auction in which proceeds from the purchased items that had been generously donated provided additional funds for all of the charities. You won't want to miss the Gala Dinner in 2012 that will be a spectacular finish to the seventh annual event. Purchase your tickets online HERE or For more information, contact Kris Repp at gala@utahfastpass.org. Accepted applicants will receive two (2) complimentary Gala dinner tickets as part of the entry package. |
